Servants Quarters
ThE SerVANTS QUARTERS
THE CONVERTED SERVANTS LIVING QUARTERS PROVIDING A SELF CONTAINED TWO BEDROOM ONE BATH ACCOMMODATION WITH KITCHEN FACILITIES
Once the residence of the living quarters for the staff at Coleshill House, the living quarters are located directly above the Servants Kitchens. It is accessed via the Servants stairs and provides an unique stay in the old quarters. In the heart of My Tiny Estate it is located off the central servants courtyard with the beautiful trees and flowers. During the 1800’s this was connected with the adjacent Caretakers Cottage and provided accommodation for up to 10 staff.
The Servants quarters are the most untouched spaces of the entire estate, with original flooring in most parts and the stunning original oak beams draping the ceiling it definitely has a cosy vibe.
The living/kitchen area (which would never have existed back then) was once the large linen room which would have held all the linen and soft furnishing accessories for the Georgian House. It has a quirky array of different smaller spaces off it which would have held the variety of linens which have now been converted into multifunctional spaces, such as a pantry, scullery and mini-office. This room also was decorated with a wallpaper dating back to 1910, we had this replicated identically and rehung. We have introduced a quirky feature of our beloved former pet parrot…
HE IS hidden in the wallpaper somewhere in the room. Perhaps you will find it, perhaps not?
Have a browse through some of the photos of this cosy space. We were keen to retain and enhance all the character elements and add a slight modern touch where appropriate. It definitely has a beautiful warmth about it and provides a great space for relaxing with the fire on and enjoying the atmosphere.
